Privacy Policy
Logga · Last updated: 13 October 2026
Logga ("we", "us") is a food, weight, hydration and activity tracking app, available on iPhone and at logga.space. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account details: your name and email address, from creating an account or signing in with Apple or Google. With Sign in with Apple you can hide your email address; we then only see Apple's private relay address.
- Data you log: meals and calories (including meal photos and voice notes if you use them), weight, water, steps, activities, check-ins, goals and profile details such as age, sex, height and activity level.
- Apple Health: if you connect it, Logga reads your daily step count only. We never write to Apple Health, and we don't read any other health data.
- Usage data: only if you allow it, anonymous information about how the app is used (for example which features are opened and how many meals are logged). Never your photos, voice notes or what you wrote.
- Technical data: basic device information needed to keep the app working and secure.
How we use it
- To provide the app: saving your logs, showing your progress and syncing across your devices.
- To estimate calories and write insights with AI, only if you allow AI features (see below).
- To send notifications you turn on, and a few emails about your account (such as confirming your email address and, in your first week, tips on getting started).
- To improve the app, using anonymous usage data if you allow it.
- To keep the service secure and fix problems.
We do not sell your data and we do not use it, or your Apple Health data, for advertising or marketing.
AI features
Logga asks for your permission before sending anything to an AI service, and you can turn AI off any time in Settings › Privacy Settings. When AI features are on:
- Meal logging: the AI provider receives the meal photos, voice notes and food descriptions you log, to identify the food and estimate calories, plus short summaries of your logs to explain your scores.
- Coach and insights: the AI provider receives your messages to the coach and a summary of your recent logs (meals, weight, water, steps, activities, check-ins and goals) to write your insights.
Providers receive only what each feature needs, to produce a response for you. With AI off, you can still log meals by typing them in.
Community photos
Sharing meal photos with other users is off unless you turn it on in Settings › Privacy Settings. When on, food-only photos of meals you scan can appear on recipe pages without your name or email. Photos showing people or anything inappropriate are not shared. Anyone can report a photo or hide a person's photos; reported photos are hidden straight away and reviewed. Turning sharing off removes the photos you've shared.
Who we share data with
We use these providers to run Logga, and only share what they need to do their job:
- Supabase: stores your account and logs.
- Vercel: hosts the app and its server.
- Third-party AI providers: AI features, only if you allow them.
- Google and Apple: sign-in, if you choose them.
- Resend: sends our emails.
- Mixpanel: anonymous usage statistics, only if you allow them.
- Apple and RevenueCat: process Logga Pro purchases and tell us whether your subscription is active. We never see your card or payment details.
We choose providers that protect your data to the same standard as this policy and only allow them to use it to provide their service to us.
Google sign-in
If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google. We use them only to create and identify your account. We do not access your Gmail, Drive, Calendar or other Google data.
Health information
Logga is a tracking tool, not a medical service, and does not provide medical advice. Check with a doctor before making medical decisions or big changes to your diet or exercise. See Settings › Health Info & Sources in the app for where our numbers come from.
Your choices
- Turn AI features, usage statistics and community photo sharing on or off any time in Settings › Privacy Settings. Turning one off withdraws your consent from then on.
- Disconnect Apple Health any time in the iPhone Settings app (Health › Data Access & Devices › Logga).
- Edit or delete individual entries, clear your history, or turn off notifications in the app.
- Ask for a copy of your data by contacting us below.
- Delete your account in Settings › Data & Privacy › Account Options, or by contacting us.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, it is scheduled for deletion and you have 7 days to change your mind by signing back in; after that your account and all its data, including photos, are permanently erased. We use industry-standard safeguards, but no system is completely secure.
Age
Logga is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the date at the top.
